These are all sweet ass sweet. I never did the SW line simply because there's just too many figures and no support outside of the fans. If a guy was on screen for two seconds, he got a figure. Then the clone wars spurted out literally THOUSANDS of individual figures.
But I think the way you're doing it is right. Grab some cool clones and customize the way you want the to look. I'm sure each guy has his own background story, too.

Thanks! I just like having slightly different Clones so they aren't all just exact clones of each other.

So, previously, I put the 2008 Clone trooper lower legs onto my Hardcase and Kix. I realized afterwards that that combo actually makes them shorter. So, I took the non articulated lower legs from Hardcase and cut off the feet and modded it so it can accept the articulated feet so now my Hardcase is the same height as my other Clones and has articulated ankles. I'll have to do Kix when I have time. I posted pics of Hardcase next to Kix so you can see the height difference and also Echo beside Hardcase to show that Hardcase is now the same height as Echo.
Kix with 2008 Clone Trooper lower legs is shorter. Echo using the 2008 Clone Trooper body is the same height as my Hardcase Close up of the ankle joint

Finally updated Kix as well so now all my Clones have articulated ankles and are the same height.
Kix with Fives showing how he is not too short anymore. With my customized Hardcase Showing how the ankle joints were done: One on the left is Kix. I decided to try following the contours of the bottom of the leg armor for Kix. This is what I plan to do with Stone when I get him so I wanted to test it out on Kix first.

Just got the parts and now my Kix and Hardcase have the ball jointed wrists to go with their articulated ankles now.
This one is just Denal's body with Five's head but with the 5 removed and using the Cad Bane escape's helmet You can see the original head compared to the modified one that has no 5 I updated my 501st heavy gunner. He now has pistols and holsters and the battle damage blaster effect on his chest was removed. the head under the hollowed out helmet is just Rex. With my custom VC Appo in the background

Here's my latest. It's Commander Stone with articulated ankles. He is just ever so slightly taller than some of my other Clones because I wanted to keep the coloring on the bottom where his ankle joint is.
