This figure was my entry in the Custom Crossover Contest (SW<->GI-Joe) ... I didn't won but I love how the figure turned out ... and now he stays in my collection as an updated CGI.
Any questions and comments are always appreciated. Crimson Guard Immortals Personal Log File Entry nÂș 666 Reference Name: Crimson Guard Immortals Subject: Darth Sidious most secret operatives During the long path to his ascension as Emperor, Palpatine gathered to his side many Senate Guards to serve as his personal guard, creating the dreaded and respected Imperial Royal Guard, fierce soldiers indoctrinated with blind obedience to the Emperor. Among the more greedy, that even before his conditioning believed that Palpatine and the Empire were the best way for the galaxy, a few were chosen as the Crimson Guard Immortals. They all had a very special kind of greed ... unlimited lust for eternal life. Sensing these attributes through his knowledge of the force Darth Sidious offered them their greatest desire through a cloning process that also allowed the preservation of their minds in the new body. Even after becoming the Emperor, Sidious knew that some actions could cause unrest among his officers and allies. When these actions were required the Crimson Immortals were called and evidence suggests that never more than three guards were employed on the same mission and in most cases only one. It is also believed that no more than a dozen of these operatives existed but it is know that they were kept serving as Imperial Royal Guards, their identities secret to their peers. Their role was to protect the Emperor and the Empire from any, emerging or established, threat without connecting them to Palpatine. Before any mission their minds were saved in a new clone that would remain dormant. The process was created by an old renegade scientist, Dr.Ven-Num, and his pupil Dentt Mindbender. After mastering the whole process Sidious got rid of Ven-Num keeping Mindbender as his slave. Regardless of an Immortal completing the mission alive he should kill himself and destroy all the equipment used and then, and only then, the new cloned body would be activated with the original mind but without the memories of his last mission. The scope of their strike missions would go to the murder of little princes and politicians to the destruction of fortresses and small moons. They could also act undercover causing political unrest or financial breakdowns to any non supporting spot in the Galactic Empire. Their arsenal included but were not limited to: darksabers, wrist mounted blasters / blowtorch, high density blaster rifles, wrist mounted rocket launchers and the Tie Terminator, a short range space ship that could be transported hidden in most cargo ships. The Rebelion was able to caught only one of these operatives alive, thanks to the skills of a reformed bounty hunter by the name Thomm Arashikage also now as Stormshadow. Some confirmations come from this only prisoner. But we have to assume that even after Sidious fall and the destruction of all found clones that a few maybe still alive and pose a serious threat. The Crimson Guard Immortals were the secret preemptive strike force used to maintain the rule of Darth Sidious over the Galactic Empire. Nice work mate. I like it RoC parts sometimes get a bad rep just for being associated with the movie lol. I might have swapped out the lower arms for some SW style Clone/Stormie lower arms just to tie it a bit more to the SW universe.
I still think it works though. |
