I got the UBP for 13.74 yesterday and I'm really enjoying the Mobat tank. It battled the giant chihuhua today.
So has anyone attempted to do an R/C modification to it? Like make it possible to have it remotely controlled. |

if its anything like the old mobat , your going to have to disect it. but all in all it can be ported over. it might take somework though finding a place to put the antenna receiver without damaging the motor

Should be easy, but I did work with RC stuff for a long time...
I'm working on an RC Moray.... No money for the parts though...

Oh yeah. I'm going to have to do some research first. Would it also be possible to upgrade the motor?

The hobby shop I worked at had RC tanks. I think we sold them for about $60-100. The cool thing is some of them shot! muhaha...
If you use the right stuff, you could make the thing go 30MPH if you wanted to. Go to a Hobby shop and tell them what your gonna do. Most will think it's cool your making something RC thats not... Motors, Speed controls, and Radio's are not that hard to figure out. Batteries are also getting really advanced (really good) too...

But I also don't want to destroy the original Mobat motor either. |

The cheapest way to do it is to find a ready to run RC Tank. Then all you need to do is swap it all over..
Take the RC one apart and see what you will need to mod on the MOBAT. It should not be to hard...
