I was wondering if anyone has any tips or referrals to taking apart modern era Star Wars figures. Any and all help is appreciated - Thanks

Let my 3 year old at them, he seems quite adept at destroying toys. My wife is always finding limbs and torsos in odd places. Same thing with my boys' Joes. Oh well..custom fodder I guess.

Try boil and pop method. Place just the joint you want to separate in boiling water until the plastic is soft and POP! Careful not to burn or boil yourself.

Thanks for the boil and pop tip. Now are there any tips for splitting the torso in half?

one method is too stick a screw driver in and pry, the other is to whack it with a mallet. If you try the screwdriver trick( my favorite) just be sure to do it carefully, I have done it on a few but it sometimes takes time, or it will fly apart and you will lose pieces. Good luck.
