As usual, I like to make little tweaks to the 25th figures - mostly just for fun. So I got a few replacement heads from Alyosha recently and I repainted a couple others. I thought I would share how they looked. First is Tunnel Rat. I really don't like the way the eyes were painted, so I tried a couple of things. First off, I replaced the head entirely:
While I was at it, I also completely repainted the original head to give him open eyes. I can also see in the pic that I need to touch up the camo stripe on his right arm. I'm not sure which I'll keep on display. I also want to eventually repaint the green shirt because the factory job on the sleeves stinks.

Next is a Roadblock head sculpt that Aly that I painted. I think it makes him look much tougher.

Here's a repaint/modification that I made to Dusty. I don't like the paint job on his head (again missing the eye line and even eyebrows) nor do I like the big piece of cloth stuck on. First, I repainted his head. Then, I cut off the "cloth" from the VsV Dusty helmet, thinned it a little, and stuck it under the 25th Dusty's helmet. It's not glued because I'd like to keep the option to display without it.
My Dusty didn't come with his harness, so I ordered on from Alyosha. I still need to paint it to match the rest of his gear.

Lastly, I wanted to try another head on Lady Jaye because I'm not a fan of the two we've been given. I actually like the first one better than the newer one (which looks really odd to me). This doesn't quite scream Lady Jaye to me, but looks better to me nonetheless.
The pic makes it look like she's looking up, but I think it's just the perspective of the camera. Maybe I'll try a different pic later. EDIT: Another pic added.

Yeah, maybe so, but I really wanted to replace the head. If I ever find one I like better, maybe I'll make a Zarana custom and use this head.

Those look tons better! No more Mr. TunnelMagooRat. Did you know that Rock N Roll's ammo belt fits in TR's M-60? I also did the same thing with my Dusty custom. I think the "cloth" works under the helmet a lot better.
Lady Jaye looks good, but I don't know if I'm completely sold on the head. She needs to look more "wild" and not so clean cut. |

That Roadblock is great, he looks so much tougher, like he's supposed to. That's definitely my biggest peeve with Hasbro's version, he looks like a goofball.
