It looks nice, but it actually makes less since on the parachuting side.
The Para-Viper is a HALO(High Altitude Low Opening) paratrooper. The parachute you attached is a T-10 Static Line parachute(the yellow cord that criss-crosses across the back is the static line). What that means is if he jumps out of a plane, the parachute will open immediately b/c the static line is attached to an anchorline cable inside the aircraft. If he jumps out without hooking up, well, he's SCREWED! lol He would have to pull his reserve and at the altitude he'll be jumping from he damn sure wouldn't want to do that b/c a front loaded reserve being opened at Terminal Velocity would snap him in half. The parachute on his back was right. The reserve is on the front of the Para-Viper at his waist, which shouldn't be there at all since the HALO rigs have the reserves built into them. Hasbro didn't pay attention to the information I sent them on that very well. If you want to attached a different parachute to his back, I suggest getting the parachute off of the Cobra Trooper from DVD set 5. It is a MC-5 HALO rig. If you're wondering where my info comes from, it's experience. I'm an Army Parachute Rigger/Paratrooper. I pack them and jump them so I know nearly everything about them. And this is by no means a negative comment or anything, I just thought I would teach you(and everyone else) on proper parachute rigging, etc.

The chute on the back makes more since for a HALO jumper, but not the exact chute I used? Is that what your saying? The only understanding I went into with this custom is that a HALO jumper uses a chute on his back and generally has a backpack at his waist. I figured I could leave the old reserve chute because I couldnt come up with any reason he shouldn't have one. On the other hand I thought he was in desperate need of a chute on his back. If my only real mistake is that his chute isnt the right type then I think I can live with that.

Your custom looks great, but he's a real paratrooper. I wouldn't mess with him. To me accuracy isn't so important. I really like the way your para-viper looks.

A HALO jumper has his main parachute(usually a MC-5 like the Cobra Paratrooper from the 5th DVD set) on his back like any other paratrooper BUT the particular parachute you have attached is not a HALO rig. It is a T-10, it's 30' in diameter, it's round, and you have no control over the parachute at all(it's all up to the wind and 90% of the time you hit the ground like a sack of sh!t). A HALO rig is square and has toggles that give you control of the canopy for a softer landing. I'll post pictures shortly for more detail.

It's like the WWII version but it's a modern updated one. The WWII mains were T-10 Alphas and we now jump T-10 Deltas/Echos.
