I sold my entire action figure collection last year (most of it was bought by Tankers). I decided to focus on my true toy passion- LEGO. I was really excited to see that Hasbro is going to make GI JOE Kreons. The figures look okay (except for the heads- I'm going to have to swap out for real lego heads). BUT- most of those vehicles look odd. Too small, too unremarkable.
So... in the last few weeks I have been making LEGO GI JOE vehicles. I've made over 30 so far. I thought I would share. Here is a link to a video I made that has some pictures and some sample stop motion animation that I made. I will post more pictures here, too. Let me know what you think!

Dude, love your stuff. I thought I had a sizable Lego Joe collection, but you've got to have the largest army I've seen.
Keep up the great work, and post some individual photos so I can stare longingly (and maybe copy some of your builds). |

Here is a still of my two black FANGS.
The red missiles are removable and they also have the grey bomb under the body.

I've said it before and I'll say it again dude. You make the upcomming Kreo stuff look like cheap knock offs! I would drop any ammount of money to buy stuff that looked that good.
That Killer Whale of yours is jaw dropping! Everything else is too really. Excellent stuff man.

Thanks, Mushashi. The killer whale isn't done yet- I need to add the missile racks and I want to rework the engine area a little. I have to save up for another bricklink order. I also need to get a load of reproduction stickers to decorate all the vehicles with.

I love the Cobra Maggot. It was a great toy, and it was fun to build out of LEGO. Since I made the video, I changed out the yellow wheels for grey. (bricklink) The engine access panel works, just like on the real toy. UNLIKE the real toy- the ammo in the back of the unit can not only be taken off its shelf- it can be loaded into the cannon. This is a big improvement, in my mind. I never understood why hasbro made a computer station that went under the cannon. This is a custom I made a few years ago (sold it in 2012 along with all my other toys). I painted the controls and epoxied in a star trek chair. I dremeled out a hole in the wall so that the figure’s legs could fit under the console. This toy looked pretty cool in a column with my other armor with a televiper at the controls. http://www.brickabrackstudios.com/wp...1/DSC05895.jpg And -this- is why LEGO is better. I made a second Maggot, with an identical front cab, but towing a computer station. It has the same basic structure as the cannon car, including the protective walls that were oddly missing with the Hasbro version. http://www.brickabrackstudios.com/wp...1/DSC06876.jpg
