I thought Cobra-La were inspired by HP Lovecraft's writings. I have a love/hate relationship with Cobra-La: on one hand, I'm a Lovecraft fan, and mixing the Joe-verse with the Cthulhu Mythos is pretty cool. But it was done badly. GI Joe always had cutting-edge/sci-fi tech going on, so it obviously resided in an alternate universe (the cartoon way more than the comic, which still had lasers and rocket packs) much like the rest of Marvel's universe. But the only true canon for Cobra-La was the 1987 film. And even this would not have been so bad if it didn't try to totally negate the entire backstory of Cobra Commander that Hama had written up to that point. While the cartoon and comics couldn't have been more different, they still followed some of the same generalities that didn't step on each others toes too much.
But anyway, nice figure. I'm a fan.

I will forever defend GIJOE THE MOVIE as a beautiful execution of a horrible idea. I think your custom is outstanding work.
