I really enjoyed the Cobra/Decepticon themed H.I.S.S. I did a couple weeks ago! So, I continued on with the theme, again using the 8284 to to commemerate the 1982 and 1984 launch of ARAH and G1 in the US. Was going to do a Rattler at first, but decided that the name "DeceptiConquest" was just too cool.
I really like the way this one turned out - kinda has a SkyWarp look to it (so I went with "Skystream" for the name of the pilot). I was going to replace his head with that of a Wild Weasel, but liked the way he turned out as is. If you look closely, Skystream also has a Cobra/Decepticon logo on his right sleeve. I still need to get an extra stand and put his name on it. Was going to put regular Autobot logos or stars for the "shot-down" tally, though it didn't seem quite right. Got the red, white & blue idea from a picture online, and altered it with a star on the forehead. Awesome. - Used a 25th "Conquest X-30" and a 25th "Slipstream" figure (cut off and sanded his face) - Metallic purple acrylic paint, metallic speckled black paint and a chrome paint pen - Combination of packed-in and custom stickers. EDIT: File Cards for the pilot and driver are on page 4. Last edited by atomicthumbs; 01-15-2009 at 08:32 PM.. |

I would buy those in a heartbeat. You would think with all the transformers crossover figures that they would make a hiss tank or conquest transformer.

I know, right?! Would that not make much more sense than Marvel or Star Wars crossovers? I would love to see a transforming H.I.S.S. or Bridge Layer or something. Hopefully if they do, it's not something like a H.I.S.S. with the head of Cobra Commander or something like that. Thanks, everybody, for the positive reception! |

I can't stop looking at these beauties. Plus I want to bump the "Be Honest" thread off the list...

You actually made purple look good!
I think it's awesome & would love to see Hasbro make this - as both a functional Joe vehicle & a functional Transformer!
