This is the third O-13 I've done.
Recipe Head-Clutch Torso- one of the originals arms-TF Flint Thighs-Hawk 2 modified shins-clutch Vest-modified Clutch vest with cardstock and greenstuff helmet-Platoon series helmet ankle holster gun-bbi series vest holster gun-the 25th beretta working switchblade *not shown*- styrene and textured scrapbook paper 1-I repainted the entire body with a slightly darker version of the original 25th color. 2-I repainted the head. 3-cut out the pouch and holster on the vest and added a handmade cardstock holster and pouch (for the switchblade that will be shown at a later date). 4-I didn't like how much the ankle holster jutted out so I made a new one for that as well, with a smaller gun since typically that's a backup weapon and would be a little smaller. 5-I didn't like how that knife on the leg looked, especially with another weapon holstered on that leg, so I opted for a switchblade style weapon that can be put in his vest. Since he's a vehicle guy from NY, it kind of felt right. Especially since he's more of a driver and not someone dropping down walls and cutting throats. This will be shown at a later date because all I have done is an awesome prototype and not the finished product. This figure incorporates 10 painted colors not counting the gloves, fleshtones, or detailing washes. Last edited by GI Guppy the third; 02-12-2011 at 10:58 PM.. |

You made an excellent job with Clutch. The things I like the most about it are the helmet, the modified leg pistol holdster and the TF Flint arms you used for it. You recreated perfectly the vintage look and at the same time you update the character so he will look more of a mechanic/soldier instead of a generic trooper. Keep posting them.

Thank you. I love that "Platoon" helmet. It fits nicely on many joe heads and has a nice soft snap on feel. I haven't seen these figures anywhere since I found a couple. |
