Last night I was bored and decided to make my Tripwire figure a little more worth the space he was taking up on my shelf. I began by repainting his boots and gloves so that they were the same shade of gray and replaced his belt with one that holds a sidearm (thanks Eddie!).
After that, I thought "still not good enough." Busted out my dremel and knives and set to work on hollowing out his head. It took about an hour, going back and forth with sanding bits and my xacto knife, but I finally got it to where it fit correctly. The only part I couldn't save was the chinstrap. EDIT: It's not poop on his face! LOL... I just used an extra Duke head w/ painted on stubble. Someone send me a clean Duke head! I have 2 Duke heads one with and one w/o a mustache painted on. I was gonna use clean shaven one for a custom but may change mind and go with stache Duke instead. |

great job on the helmet! everytime i bore a head out i feel like i'm going to pop out the top and give him a shell wound. it's a little nerve racking.
i thought the black was from a mine going off in his face. i mean, he is a clutz, it's only appropriate. |

FlyingFigg is hooking me up with a new head for Trippy. Thanks guys.
Maybe if I end up with another Trippy down the line, I'll make a version where a bomb did go off in front of him... lol. |
