GI Joe the Movie was in 1987, so Don Johnson (voice of Falcon)was still "Sonny" Crockett then... and seeing first hand how well Army officers and NCOs can dress themselves when they're out of uniform, I think Crockett would fit right in at a Hail and Farewell.

Yeah, his current unit patch goes on his left shoulder, and for Lt. Falcon the USASOC patch (red arrowhead with a black dagger) would work because he worked with "Blue Light Group" which was an 80's code name for Delta Force. Delta guys wear the USASOC patch when they wear a patch at all.
All other Special Forces guys wear the SFGA unit patch, which is similar: it's a turquoise arrowhead with a gold dagger and three lightning bolts. The Airborne tab and Special Forces tab go above it - though that's probably way more detail than any toy requires. The right shoulder of an Army uniform is reserved for a soldier's "Combat patch". It's the unit that soldier served in while in combat. I once heard a Marine say that the Army was like the Boy Scouts, "They have patches for everything." He's kind of right ;) Just trying to help. |

About the patches for SF: The Special Operations Command Patch and the Special Forces Patch look very similar, the only difference is that the SF patch has 3 lightning bolts. On the BDU uniform, there would be no color, just subdued OD green (woodland uniform) or brown (desert).

Nice custom. Aside from the camo, it reminds me of the Joe Colton origin story from the Marvel comic run.

OMG. That is so freaking awesome! The scarf is perfect and makes the fig IMO. I hope the Wave 14 Falcon is even quarter as good as that thing looks; I needs me a decent looking Falcon damn it! LOL.

This Falcon is SO good, I just had to find this thread and look at it again. The fact that Falcon does resemble Matt Damon is great for me... Bourne as Falcon. Yep! Works for me.
