your going to want to look up molding in silicone and casting in resin
its not hard to do but if you dont have a place near by to buy the stuff from then its a bit tricky... i live in California and i buy from Silpak, Inc this might help now in order to make really good molds and cast you will need to have a vacuum bell for molding and a pressure pot for casting this is why its hard to get started... my pops and i work in the toy industry so we have a well equiped studio ... im working on a how to thread for the tank but its going to take me some time |

How durable is the resin when casted? I mean will the figures head shatter if you move it?

Yeah best bet do a search for molding, and then most sites that talk about molding will talk about casting. Its one of those things you just jump into, its all hands on, watch the how to clips, and then just try your hand, doing over and over you will get better.
