During the fierce battle with the Decepticons, Ironhide was shot in the back by the traitorous Sentinel Prime. When it became obvious he would not survive his wounds, a subroutine within his programing searched out for a computer system large enough to hold his consciousness in the hopes that he may be retrieved one day.
The only system large enough in range was a secret Wayne Enterprises R&D facility. As Ironhide's spark faded, Optimus Prime believed he had lost yet another solider and good friend. The self-preservation backup seemed to fail. Its auto homing beacon that would alert the Autobots to his location did not activate. Or so it seemed...until the backup of Ironhide was downloaded into a Tumbler prototype that was being developed for Bruce Wayne/Batman. Once the the download completed, the homing beacon fired. Hoping for the best, Prime arrived, pulling the Matrix of Leadership from his chest... and Ironhide was reborn... "Ironhide....my old friend! Is that you?" "It is, Optimus, it is." (FansProject Weapons add-on blades) The add on blades can be switched out for two larger weapons: "Feeling lucky, punk?" The blade combines: It may not transform, but every Tumbler panel is on a multi-hinged piece and are highly articulated. The roof has articulation to simulate transformation: The front wheels have three points of articulation and can be moved to help with balance. Last but not least.... It appears that Ironhide has already had a run in with the Joker... Last edited by Hawkeye; 01-21-2016 at 03:06 PM.. |
