Hey everyone,
I've been looking to put some logos on the back of some of the Mutt Williams leather jackets, such as CP Torch has on the back of his vest. Problem is, how would I go about getting the logo I made from the computer to the vest. What process would I have to use, and how would I go about it? I was thinking it was a water transfer or something but Im not sure. How would I even print/make a water transfer. Im at a huge loss here, and I'd really appreciate some help as Im clueless. Thanks Tank. -Kalash

I did this on a couple of different customs I did for friends. No special printing, I just printed it on regular paper, cut it out, and glued it on.
I'll post some pics whenever photobucket decides to stop acting up. *edit* Here ya go: Basically I took a .jpg of my friend in her costume as Mirax Terrik, cut the symbol in Photoshop, printed it, cut it out and glued it on. A little paint around the edges to blend in the paper and here it is. Same idea here: Last edited by darthfoley; 12-06-2008 at 01:50 AM.. |

Isn't there a clear transfer paper you can use? They sell it at certain hobby shops. Otherwise, use a clear sticker sheet and print on it, you can buy them on ebay, I believe

Waterslide decal paper, and some clear coat, is your best bet. If, you're using an inkjet printer (and the apropriate paper) they sell special sealer for it, but a cheap rattlecan of clear coat from the local wally-world should work just as well. Once the decal is in place and dry, you should give the whole part a couple of coats of the clear coat of your choice.
Decal paper is available in both clear and white. If you're going over anything but a really light color, you're probably best off using the white. You can do test prints on regular printer paper to get the background color of your image close to what the decal's going over, if you need to. |

Well it's going to be the logo and rockers on the back of a vest, like a motorcycle club's colors.

here are two that I did with water slides. The black vest I didn't use any white underneath, so it's a bit dark. The other, I painted white in the area where the decal went, so the printed colors came through perfect. In bothe cases, I painted around the edges of the decal to help it blend in, before clear coating it.
