"When Gotham is...ashes, you have my permission to die..."
I never get tired of hearing that. Continuing with my line of 3 3/4 inch fully articulated Dark Knight Rises figures, here is BANE in all of his articulated regalia as he should have been. The figure was made out of a combination of parts from Absorbing man donating the head, arms upper legs and the tiny Mattel figure donating the torso and boots. I was planning on using the same head that came in the Mattel offering but when the figure's body was fully tooled, it had gained bulkiness and size, and it looked too small, so I had to quickly search for the head of absorbing man, shave the upper cranium (he has a very funny shape) and sculpt the Bane mask and all of its intricacies in less than 3 hours...sometimes when I have a whip on my back, my work comes out better than expected....go figure. Anyway, Bane comes with a broken Batman mask that he can hold on his hand or just leave in the floor, and a stand with rusted metallic effects. Here is the video with a mash up of scenes from the movie:

Awesome. I wish Mattel had done this.

Fantastic, and 10,000x better than the piece of crap that Mattel put out. Man, that Absorbing Man body is such a great base for customs.
Any chance you could be talked into taking a commission and making one for me? I'd be happy to pick up whatever parts you need.

Good work bro! I really like the detail in his mask and the vest...
I've made my resolute RoadBlock into a kitbash 'Caribbean' Bane using the gas mask that came with the ROC trooper...dug out the goggles so its just mask alone...nothing close to yours but this work will serve as inspiration! |
