This is the newest addition to my Cobra: Axis WWII custom army: Axis Baroness, in Cold Weather Gear!
Once I finish building all the characters/troops i need, including WWII style Joes, I will be creating a dio-story with them. Most of these pics are my work-in-progress figures, partly because I still need to add details like cobra insignia and partly because I'm witholding some secrets of the story. Certain characters will not be revealed at all until the dio-story, because I've got some sick ideas that will lose their sense of surprise if you guys have seen the figures already. Case in point: i almost didn't post these Baroness photos, because you can tell it's not the same Baroness we know and love. But it's not a secret worth keeping, and I think it's important to know that NONE of these characters are the same people. Some may have the same filenames, some not. A CLUE: this Baroness is related to the current Baroness, as many of the WWII versions of the characters I'm recreating are. The inspiration for this Baroness' design is her aristocratic background. Hairstyle and coat match that idea, as well as the period.
Many thanks to member the LongestDay for putting me on to Golden Compass figs!

that's nice! i was gonna get some of those for the head but decided against it. you've changed my mind. great job on the paint!
but it just doesn't seem baroness w/o the glasses... AKs are post-WWII, hence the 47... EDIT: didn't see the "related to" part before posting. interesting, and solves the glasses problem. Last edited by kingsurlycrab; 12-05-2008 at 03:27 PM.. |

I see her doing her best Daphne from Scooby Doo impression, "My glasses, I can't see without my glasses." *crunch*
Figure looks great though! I'm sure most of the tankers though want to see a Baroness with less on, not more.

Hmm. Guess I'll have to write a scene where her cloths catch fire.

I've never been so happy to mess up a pop culture fact.
