Usually I hold out for Hasbro to make my Joes, unless:

A) There's not a chance in hell of them making it (Sarge)
B) They've had 45 tries and still haven't gotten it right (Duke)
C) It's been long enough, and I've given up (Cartoon Flint, Monkeywrench)

So, here's my customs, some simple part swaps, some more extensive...

Flint. One of my favorite Joes.
I really dig the classic toy look, but I always loved the Sunbow Flint too. The green camo made more sense than the black shirt.
I still need to photograph him with Lady Jaye, but the two match perfectly now with their color schemes.

Also pictured is my V1 Flint with TF Flint lower arms. (I'm not painting the upper arms just to get a little bit of elbow and a rolled cuff... Besides, the new 5-pack will be replacing him anyways, and he'll donate his lower arms to 'toon Flint.)









Formula:
Head: Flint in Cobra Disguise
Torso/upper arms: TF Duke
Legs: Jetpack Duke
Lower Arms: CP Shipwreck
Webgear: TF Flint
Backpack: Arctic Snake Eyes

Paint: Tamiya Acrylics
I used Denatured Alcohol to remove Shipwreck's tattoo, and to take off the red on TF Duke's collar and the flag on his sleeve.
Paint was kept to a minimum... I only painted the webgear brown, the crotch to match the legs, then the camo and Flint's hair/beret.

I gave up on Hasbro making Sarge, since he's tied up in licensing/Hasbro not giving a damn. Oh well.

Dark5cythe/Mad Joe Customizer make a kickass head and hat kit,
and G.I. Eddie came up with a formula that I think screams Sarge:

Head/Hat/Baton/Whistle: Dark 5cythe/Mad Joe Customizer's kit
Torso: CP Copperhead (I'm going to replace it with PP Copperhead when I can get a spare)
Lower Arms: Bazooka
Upper Legs: Serpentor
Lower Legs: Wave 9 Hawk
Backpack/Gun: Wave 9 Hawk
Belt: Dreadnok Ripper (modified)

I did this to put TF Duke arms on him:

Then gave him TF Duke's accessories. Done. Why Hasbro, have we gotten 45 Dukes, yet not one yet that doesn't suck in some manner? Duke arms, missing gear, crazy colors, yelling head, wrong uniform, etc.

It cost me $65, but I have a Duke that doesn't suck now, thanks.

This guy, and Zarana and Zandar. Why, Hasbro, why can't you finish the main Noks? He was pretty easy, so I had to make my own. I saw the Obi-Wan head and knew it was Monkeywrench.

I'll try and post better pics, I took these with my iPhone camera.
I want to take pics with the other Noks once my Wave 11 Zartan gets here. They all have Mutt Williams motorcycles (4 of them) that I want to customize.
