Thanks guys, if it wasn't for the work you guys and all the others on here do, I would have never had the balls to try my hand at painting/chopping up my beloved Joes!
It's way easier than it looks though. Sarge could have come out better, I don't know why I picked a head sculpt and fully-painted figure for my first custom. What an idiot, right? My best job so far is the Flint, but my favorite custom is definitely Sarge. Other than a few paint issues on Sarge, I was really happy with the outcome. The right parts and a little paint go a long way! Look out for more to come, I just got started! |

Looks great, really nice work. I love that Monkeywrench and to see a cartoon version of Flint is really cool as well.
Nice Work! Dave |

Okay, I know everyone's done this, I just like him.
DVD Bludd body and helmet, with Single-carded Bludd head, with painted hair and teeth. Also, did the dog tag mod under the collar. Looks much better. The factory DVD head barely had a pupil, and the eyepatch magically stayed on. And of course, he's bald, which looks weird. |

This guy was just for fun. More of a spare-parts-guy, and started out as a joke, but I sort of liked what I ended up with.
Since I have parts of TF Duke and TF Flint laying around, I wondered what the all-brown parts put together would look like. For now, I'm calling him Doug "Dugout" Masterson. Trench warfare specialist (I dunno?). I may toy around with him some more. I want to take the goggles from Diver Baroness and put them on him, or CP Firefly's goggles (if they fit) and see how it looks. Formula: Head: Copperhead Torso/Upper Arms: TF Flint Legs: TF Duke Lower Arms: CP Torch Belts: Rock & Roll Paints: Tamiya Acrylics All I painted was the crotch (belt too), gloves and helmet. The rest is factory. |

Another spare-parts-guy that I really like.
I took the Comic Pack Cobra Commander, painted the underside of the mask black to hide the yellow mold (WHY did they mold the head in that yellow?!?!), and snapped it onto M.A.S.S. Device CC, who is 1 of 2 default CCs. (The other being DVD Pack #5 CC with chrome helmet). So that left me with a headless blue CG body. I cut off all the mustard yellow crap, painted the gold trim silver and added details to the buttons/clasps/buckles/etc, added some Copperhead gear, and painted Wave 9 Hawk's head into a black man. I gave him graying hair, and made the mask with Super Glue (dripped onto the mouth until it built up correctly). He also looks cool with the Para-Trooper's helmet and head, but I like the black head better. Cobra needs more diversity. Also, I guess he's more of a single-character, than a troop builder type. Formula: Head/Helmet: Wave 9 Hawk Torso: CP CC Gear: all from Copperhead (pistol from Elite Forces weapon pack) Last edited by Mandingo Rex; 12-04-2008 at 06:31 AM.. |

Check Page 1 for updated Monkeywrench pics...
Here's some more... The 4th Dreadnok (and my favorite) Monkeywrench: 2008 meets 1986: With the bossman: I've got to replace the gun, I bought it off eBay, but when it arrived, it was all chewed up. The eBay listing pics were NOT in that condition. Anyways, after dealing with the seller, he's sending me one that doesn't suck. (I trimmed the blades down on the trident-tip to make them all even til the new one arrives.) |
