thanks again guys...although it was a very subtle change, it was a very rewarding one for me...it made me like a very blah bland figure IMO...i can't wait to add the final touch...
yes sir...i trimmed about an 1/8th of inch out of the back to make them fit tighter to the helmet in the up and down positions |

Also job. The changes you made are perfect. Its the little extra added things that can make or break a figure. The changed you made definitely make the figure.

That looks amazing! Exactly the way Hasbro should have done it. Looks so much better.

Looks nice. I'm still hoping someone has an extra Bigg's Darklighter head that I can trade for to make a removable helmet Slipstream.

I do not like the Conquest Slipstream.
I like this one a lot. The precedent has been set: all figures in the "modern" line should have removable helmets. |

I still don't own an opened Slipstream... There are plenty still on the shelves at the local Targets, of course... He's not worth $25 for an "okay" repaint and a jet I don't have room for though.
Much more accurate, but I'm wondering if I may not try to just make my own instead of trying to eBay or trade on here for a Slipstream... The chest still bothers me, but it works for consistency's sake with all the other pilots... I was thinking the air tank or whatever on his chest could be found on maybe BBQ or a Star Wars pilot, perhaps? Either way, I want to use the arm combo you did, and recreate that head. I have a spare Tripwire head just for that... Darn you Eddie, you and your inspiration! Haha. I didn't have to have Slipstream till I saw your fix, now I want one that is as accurate to the 80s version as possible. Screw Hasbro's! Yours is awesome, my man. I like it as-is, but if I end up building my own from scratch, I may try a different torso. The rest works perfectly! |
