I was thrilled when I discovered Mezco did Hellboy figures in 1:18 scale, but fairly bummed when I discovered they only made the four characters(seven figures in all) they did. I needed a Kroenen, and some of the others...but I have never made any custom figures until now. the others will follow now that I've gotten one under my belt.
hitler's top assassin and leader of the Thule society. Kroenen. Recipe: Head - SDS (not sure who sculpted it, but the thing is spot on) Torso - Resolute CC (5-pack) Arms - Resolute Destro (5-pack) Skirt - MU 70th Red Skull Upper Legs - RoC Destro Lower Legs - Resolute CC (5-pack) Trench Coat - Wolverine: Origins Victor Creed/Sabertooth Luger - MU 70th Red Skull Sword - made from scrap/it's not permanently attached. I didn't add the swastika, because I'm not sure I could paint it that small by hand, but I may go back and add it if I can figure out how to do waterslides. I also wanted to post a pic first, as not to offend. he has the ab crunch, which is why I didn't just go for the head on the red skull, but you can't really tell from the photo. speaking of the photo, unfortunately this is the best I can do on the picture front. lemme know. This figure looks very chilling. Nice Job.
My neck hurts from looking sideways, leftways.

I ordered some green stuff yesterday to see if I can scuplt the cross and maybe the pockets and medals on the uniform. may add the dagger later as well.
anyone know if someone sculpted a head or torso for prince/princess nuada? king's gaurd? any of the others? if not I guess I'm gonna give it a shot. |

He looks great, and the parts are perfect.
I would make one suggestion, and this might just be the camera angle, but the coat looks a lot duller than the rest of the figure. I think if you gave the sleeves a coat of flat black, to better match the overcoat, it would really put it over the edge. And a trick for making swastikas: Cut a thin strip out of a black vehicle decal. Cut it down into 4 equal strips, then halve two of them. You can then arrange them on the arm, and have a perfectly symmetrical swastika. Sorry i got so wordy... ;)

I like the look of it overall, but the contrast between coat and sleeves is kind of distracting. Otherwise, I'm looking forward to seeing what else you do here. Pretty good custom.
