It is sad that I must adjust/modify Hasbro's figures, but this stuff bothers the hell out of me. Therefore, I had to fix it myself.
First up to fix was Grunt, as I hated the TRU figure. I have given him a new head (thanks to Gunslingercbr) and traded bodies and guns with wave four comic pack Duke. Next up was Steeler, as I did not like his short sleeves and brown trimmings/footwear. I used a wave one comic pack Hawk body and helmet, painted the trim black, and then added his ARAH visor to it after painting it black. Steeler can't be Steeler without his true ARAH visor. Then came Short Fuze, as I do not care for the Target UBP version. I used that body, another helmet and visor, reworked the webgear to look more like the original figure, used a Hawk v2 head and modified/painted the hair blonde, and changed hands. Last but not least, I couldn't stand the HISS tanks released thus far, so, again, I had to do it right: I painted six of the Target Blue Tanks, left the black gun turret and tinted canopy door, and added the Target stickers/CobraStickers to it. It now looks good to me. Other figures in the works are Serpentor, Breaker, and Cutter, as those figures suck to me as well. Thanks to Hasbro for allowing me to now piece together a good Flint, Shipwreck, Storm Shadow v2, and Lady Jaye with the release of the new five-packs, as well as giving me a good Baroness. Here's hoping to see a non-hunched Scarlett in the future. Last edited by RockinHard; 11-27-2008 at 12:41 AM.. |

It's funny that you say this. I am in the process of correcting my original 13 as well. I will post pics as soon as I get my new Digital Camera in the next week or two.
I figured out how to make a good H harness too, and I'm painting all the green shirt guys to match color.

I know how you feel. I'll soon be posting corrected versions of Serpentor and Cutter, and hopefully Breaker. However, I'm not so concerned about them all matching in color as the original figures/characters did not.

I like the three figures man. Cool!
I mean, I like the ones hasbro made too. But I like your versions a lot as well. Nice work! Wish I knew how to customized these 25th figures. I can swap heads and legs, but I dont know how to open the chests without breaking or ruining them somehow.

Problem is: you would have to paint the mass market tanks' gun turrets because they are not black. They also have a clear canopy bay door as opposed to the awesomeness that is the tinted one.

yes, but much easier to get new stickers vs. repainting more tanks, for me anyway.
i look forward to pictures of your upgraded figures.
