I used to sell mine on ebay too, but like some of the other have said the fees are just becoming to costly to sell them ebay anymore. I spend most customizing time working on commissions for other board members here and other places. If you see any of my work you like feel free to drop me a line.

I sold a few on ebay as well, but just like everyone else, the fees are killers... plus the paypal fees (which is an ebay owned company, so they are basically getting you twice)...
Is there a spot where people can request custom figures to be made? Like a commission thread? |

Same. I always feel better about sending something I made or repainted to a fellow collector.

I have sold a handful on ebay, been awhile since I put anything up on ebay though. I have 3 completed, and working 5 or 6 others at the moment. Here is a link to some of my work... If you look at my profile, and then search for Threads started by me you will find a lot of customs I have done in the past. There is a lot of talent on this board. Enjoy!!

****see last photo**** Really, that was to try and re-coup some of the cash I spent on that particular project. I actually made more than I expected to get. As far as honest to goodness customs go I've only finished one, f'ed up and am trying to salvage another, and have many on the go so my answer is: Kinda, sorta, yes maybe? I just did the same thing with my 7 non-matching eyesore troopers, basically. I honestly just painted all the yellow/red parts black with Tamiya paints, and I'm going to put the air-trooper helmet on the silver-emblem Trooper. But the rest have normal-sized red emblems. I love how you called out Speedy! Haha. WHY does he not have the emblem on his arm? Haha. That, and the web gear are the only differences. I painted his hands black to fix that. The only thing that gets me now, is I still have a few "specialty" guys that I couldn't so easily fix. The stupid DVD-pack troopers don't match, but I didn't want to go painting all over them, with their giant logos and white parts. There's no fixing that that will easily look good. So they're different still, for whatever reason. I'm leaving the Stinger Driver and the Bazooka Trooper alone, other than painting the Bazooka guy's neck/mask black. It looks so much better with matching Troopers. |
