So I finally got a batch of the dollar store joes and I've been plotting and planing this for a long time.
I only got two done by today, mainly because Storm Shadow took a long time to get right. More pictures will be added to this thread! So stay tuned. Shipwreck: I decided to go a different route then most, I'm keeping the long neck for now. Added the neck piece from the steel Brigade figure and painted it, didn't hit the color perfectly but I'll fix that later. Also added a poc holster (from stalker) and the shoulder rig with a pistol in it. Before painting: Subdued to get the look right Full technicolor, as you can see it's a bit darker then the shirt, but works well in shadow. Storm Shadow: I've always wanted a completely black G.I.Joe Ninja. Well here we go. Painted over the white parts of the dollar store Storm Shadow and gave him Ninja Ku feet and head. I might change this up eventually, also changed the belt with the 30 anniversary Storm Shadow to get the black belt - and traded my Billy custom the white one. --- Update For Snake Eyes I decided to do something different. I'll probably make my "ultimate" version of this Snake Eyes some where a long the road but not now. This however, works: Also, I have a new cop! --- Update Duke and Cobra Trooper. Added a proper Duke head, if this is to be Duke, so Renegades head it is. Also added Dusty's goggles on the helmet as it looked a little bland, and the Amazon 3 pack Duke vest fits nicely with his original color scheme. For the Cobra Trooper, I changed the head to the Renegades pack one, so that he got a red mouth scarf as opposed to the black one to break up the colors a bit, also added a grey pistol (30th law) and suppressor as well as painting the AK he came with, just some silver detailing, oh and of course put a knife in his boot. So here they are: Last edited by haradrel; 06-09-2012 at 08:54 AM.. |

The all black ninja is really cool. I am more blown away by the diorama he is standing in. I would like to know where you got that stuff or how you made it. Thanks for sharing with us.

I used the shoulder holster with my Shipwreck also. I will have to try the collar as that is an excellent idea.

I like what you did with all of them.
I have a DG Shipwreck on the way, gonna use the same straps/holster, except one loop will go under his right arm instead of that shoulder. Might replace the holster with a functional one and give him a pistol for it. |

You set the standard for Dio photography. The ninja scene is perfect.
