On your shadow troops, how do you get the grey and black to be so uniform? Is it all hand painted, or do you use an airbrush?

everything is hand painted. I don't have the steadiest hand, but if you are patient and use a small brush you can get some pretty good detail. For the really small stuff, like inside the visor or small dots, I use a toothpick to dab a small amount of paint on one spot.

The shadow troopers are easier to paint than others because the grey or black paint covers very well, so if I screw up the paint job the first time, it's really easy to try again.
