thanks everyone and yes they have names
the dude with the hat even has a back story I wrote: James Walden-was a ranger and expert tracker stationed in Uganda east Africa There he was trying to stop a local guerilla troop that was trying to use voodoo and witchcraft to scare the villagers into thinking they were gods. Those that opposed them were fed to lions… Walden lead his platoon into a near by forest and found the enemy camp…they were torturing and killing the villagers that refused their control. It lead to a fairly large fire fight with the guerillas and ended rather poorly when the Ugandans resorted to primitive weaponry throwing spears and poison dipped darts into us soldiers…some of Walden’s team were dead but he awoke to find himself in a giant pit with a hungry lion. The guerilla soldiers were taunting him and throwing things at the lion to anger it…soon Walden rose to his feet and met the beast head on…the lion jumped on him..mauling him with its teeth. it pierced his right shoulder but Walden wanted to prove that these men had no power and that their attempt to kill him with a lion would only end in failure… Quickly he drew his combat knife and no sooner it was in one of the beasts eyes flailing in pain he positioned himself under the lion and thrusting his blade into the beasts lower extremities…he took the lion over his shoulder and put it to the ground. Standing over the disemboweled lion holding only a knife the remaining guerillas threw their arms into the pit and hailed him as the prince of their village…he demanded they turn themselves into the local villagers and let the people of Uganda decide their fate. Some new they would surely get the death sentence so the turned their guns on themselves others stood up to their charges and ended up being fed to hungry lions just as they had done to them. All in all Walden became a kind of local legend in that region of the world. After the act of bravery he was tattooed with an African emblem on his arm to display his heroic feat. Later he befriended the local villagers and helped them establish order in their community once again. |
