So I decided to do a repaint of the Zombie viper to get him into more human colors, and add a bit of gore and corruption to the color scheme.
What I went for was a relatively recent transformation, so there skin isn't rotting. I also didn't want to much paint rubbing (nor did I want to go all out and sand down the joints) so the joints remain unpainted, I may add blueish gray marks on the body to meld into the joints so it looks more natural, but for now it will probably stay like it is. Took me about one night to complete, somewhere between 4 and 7 hours, I didn't really pay attention but lost myself in the fun of it. I plan to do more re-paints like this, in various stages of decomposition. Enough talk! More pictures I hear you scream: |

I think the effects ruin your pics. I can't tell what is physical work and what has been added after the picture has been taken.

I know HDR isn't for everyone, that's why most of the pictures are unedited. Last edited by haradrel; 05-06-2012 at 04:44 PM.. |

good lord.
those are amazing. this is by far my favorite modern era figure, so weird, so hawesome. your painting of these, by a large margin, are the best i've seen. I only have one, but I wanna send it to you to paint, real hard....but norway is looong way away. shipping = no good. sad emoticon. |

I would suggest picking up a brush and some paints though, it's a lot of fun and you can "fix" and add to the figures quite a bit. - Top tip, start with miniatures to paint before you try it on joes. |

It definitely suffers from the "way out there" concepts, even for G.I.Joe. But it's a really fun figure. The original paint apps are cool, but they could have done so much more with the figure, it really is amazingly detailed. |

That last WIP pic of the foot sold me. The wound on the foot looks pretty real. I would check out a tutorial on paint joints for your next project. It will really make a difference.
