Remember Exiles? I remember at first the series bored me a little, but as the team progressed and changed I got more into it. And then Spiderman 2099 came on board. I liked how the team wasn't so fully X-Men focused then. It just made more sense. Well, then they went to a world where Sue Storm was Madame Hydra and she managed to turn three of the team into Hydra soldiers, as well. Blink, Longshot, and Spidey. I loved his outfit and finally got around to making it. Amazingly, this is my second Spidey 2099 custom.
The biggest issue in pulling him off was the wrapping around his arms. Well, I found some very small ribbon and gave it a shot. A slow process, but it worked out nicely. The wrapping on his left arm actually came out more accurate than his right. No clue where the belt came from. It had a sheath on it that I cut off. It fit perfect and was a great match for the one he wears in the comic. I mixed a couple paints to get the lighter green. It didn't come out to an exact match, but much closer from where it started. Simple repaint, and done. Recipe: Base - MU Spiderman Head - MU Spiderman 2099 Belt - no clue Hands - WO Movie Deadpool

Also forgot that I used hands from WO movie Deadpool. Cut them at the wrist and pegged them to fit into Spidey's arms. Thanks for the comments!

I started reading Exiles BECAUSE Spidey 2099 was appearing. I liked that version of he's not Miguel but he is much better than the problematic Timestorm representation. It was nice seeing Spidey 2099 in a new team and with a new purpose. I agree with you that after Spidey joined the team it became more interesting---I read backwards to figure it out.
The Madame Hydra story that carries into New Exiles was excellent. Spidey 2099 had a great outfit in that short stint. Madame Hydra's pet Wolverine was a vicious character. I wish Marvel would bring back either Guardians of the Galaxy or Exiles because that would be a better place to work out ideas than forced cross-overs that wind up rebooted or retconned. I digress, this is a cool dark Spidey. I like when Hydra clones or coops heroes. |

I digress, this is a cool dark Spidey. I like when Hydra clones or coops heroes. I think they should restart Exiles, but after two failed attempts I don't think they will. The first series was great, but in the New Exiles, when they finished the Hydra story and moved into others it just got stupid. And then they canceled it and tried to start a new one that just didn't have anything interesting going for it either. The main thing being, no character to connect with. The original had Blink and Morph right from the start, both of which were really popular characters. Can't just fix up random guys and hope they'll work. Not to mention moving the team to not just X-Men would really help it. Could do a mix and match group of Avengers. Major Victory, updated costume, bring back the original Thunderstrike, Spiderman 2099, Hulk from Bullet Points (I think that's the title) when it was Peter Parker. But that's just me. lol
