my fourth try..so frustrated...this is my G.I. Joe Roadblock / The Rock custom figure..Im out of work and trying to keep the lights on,and im not sure if Im even allowed to plug myself here, but I have this and several other G.I jOe customs up for sale on ebay..i know im opening myself up for alot of smack talkers and digital bullys but if you have any real constructive criticzism or if you love my work and are interested in me trying to bring your ideas to life at an affordable price, it me up. its a labor of love..back to the figure, I picked up one roadblock figure and loved it,probaly cause Im a big Rock fan, but there was just something wrong with it,so I got out my tools and got to work and turned it into one of my favorite figures..subtle changes to the face, new weapons and webgear, new hands and lastly his TATOOs!! I personaly love the piece, I hope to make some new digital homies here, lemme know what you think and thanks in advance - JOey

Wait, What? Where'd you get a Rockblock? These aren't even out yet (in the West Coast).
Nice work done. Gotta love that "People's Eyebrow"

This looks great. Def an improvement in my eyes.
But if this is your 4th try, then that means you have at least 4 Roadblocks already? How'd you pull that off?

Nice job! Now if only Hasbro cared as much as you did about Dwayne's tattoos...

everyones got there own style to ther "Joe" collecting... me, I only keep one representation of each character..not a whole lot from Rise of Cobra, but I did intermingle certain stuff, like using the Baroness body (not the one with the trenchcoat) with the 25th anniversary head..anyway, this Roadblock will not be my roadblock for my collection, but rather some hybrid storyline I concock where the Rock goes from acting to becoming a full blown american special forces hero after his family is killed by cobra (cobra commander is a big John Cena fan and pissed about wrestlemania-lol) or something like that..nothing can touch the resolute Roadblock in my eyes..

Okay, first off welcome to the tank!
As far as criticism goes here's what I can offer: We'd get a lot better look at the details of your custom if your photography was cleaner/sharper. I understand that you're probably working with whatever you have on hand, but one way to really help your customs right off the bat is nice photos. You swapped out the hands, I see? Which hands did you end up using? That's something that most people who get this figure will want to do so helping with a parts list would be appreciated, I'm sure. Good on you for being the first to make that improvement! You might want to loose that Viper Rifle and stick with the SAW you have in the display pic you posted. That's more "roadblock-y" than one of the Cobra weapons. Also, I wonder if you could try some web gear on him? Just a thought... I wish I could see the details on the tattoo you did! It looks like you put a lot of work into it. I am, by no means, an accomplished customizer. I'm just posting my opinions and I'm sure the more experienced folks here will have more in depth comments. Thanks for posting your work! |

I was using my camera phone, I need to take better pics with my regular digital camera..I put that generic rifle with him cause I only have one of the rifles he actualy uses in the movie..I have it hooked on his backpack on the 2nd set of pics..since im selling it on ebay,i had to put a generic rifle with him,but im gonna try to get movie accurate rifles to anyone who buys him.I used the hands off repeater (I think thats his name) from the toys r us 5 pack with the chick Dial tone..there all in the desert camo fatigues..any big hands will work..I just found another set of black gloves in my parts box that Im gonna try out...thanks for the props-Joey
