Adolpho Alvarez is a Colombian national who recently joined the Joes to bolster the team as they prepare for an important mission against Cobra in the tropical jungles of Southeast Asia.
Alvarez goes by the codename "El Bermudo", which means "the protector" in Spanish. He was given this name by his fellow villagers at the age of 14 when he was forced to defend his 8 siblings against a corrupt druglord who had slaughtered half the village (including his parents). After impaling one of the druglord's henchmen with a homemade spear, he picked up his AK-47 and managed to take down all 4 of the remaining killers. Over the next two years he trained himself in jungle combat and guerrilla tactics in preparation for vengeance against the druglord that ordered the massacre of his village. Alvarez gained entrance into the druglord's compound by posing as a grocery delivery boy. Once inside, he fought his way through all the body guards until he reached the druglord. Just before putting a bullet into his temple, his final words to the man who ordered the slaughter of his village were, "Via con Dios, malhechor." (Go with God, evil one). From that point on, Alvarez has devoted himself to protecting innocents against the evil and corruption of South America's most villainous druglords, dictators and oppressors. He even formed his own band of guerrilla fighters, called Los Rebeldes, to bring the fight out of the forest and right to their front door!! El Bermudo specializes in guerrilla tactics, jungle combat, jungle survival, insurgency and assassination. Growing up in the jungles of Colombia, he also became an expert in ancient Mayan hand-to-hand combat techniques with blades, tomahawks, spears, and blow darts.

Looks pretty cool! Glad to see someone put that Avenger Cap vest/belt to good use (haven't seen anyone make a custom w/ them yet. I have a few but haven't done anything with them yet.) The painting and tattoos look good. Nice use of Marvel Universe body parts to make a new Joe!

Recipe
Head - MU Wonderman Chest, abs & arms - MU Absorbing Man Pelvis, legs & feet - ROC Heavy Duty Hands - ROC Night Adder Scarf - Prince of Persia Vest & belt - Avengers movie Deluxe Cap The trick with merging MU & Joe bodies is to cut them in half with a hacksaw or hobby saw (I actually use a Dremel lock cutting tool), sand them so they fit together and make a tight seam. Fuse them with a strong glue (I prefer Gorilla Glue). Then strategically place a belt to both cover the seam as well as strengthen the fusion of the two halves. Written out like this, it seems like a ton of work. But it's not too bad actually. And when done right, you can't even tell it didn't come from the factory. Also, painting eyeballs sucks really bad. Definitely one of my bugaboos in life.
