Spot on and still looks wonderful for being almost 10 years old.

Just came across this Colonel Courage. I'd love to see a Classified of him looking this good.

I love Colonel Courage. This custom makes him look even better.
One thing I appreciate about him is that the filecard REALLY makes him sound like a boring desk pusher. Then you see him and he is a pretty striking dude. He is even one of the few Joes with a molded-on helmet. This dude is seriously ready for action. So, even the administrative Joes are righteous dudes. Reading the custom creator's fan background for Courage makes him even cooler.

Courage, pigeonholing him as a "strictly by-the-book" type, which to my mind isn't a good fit for the joes. Being regimented and exceedingly detail-oriented is not the same as being rigid and inflexible. GI Joe is by design an unorthodox initiative. I like the idea of putting someone with a lot of discipline and high expectations in charge.

Totally agree. He's probably my favorite character from the 90s-era toys. In my joeverse he takes over for Hawk around 2000 (basically taking over right about where the DD comics picked up, 6ish years after the end of the Marvel run).

Hey this custom looks super rad man! I was gonna say - it’s always cool when you can find old 25th parts that work on a modern custom, but then I realized this is 14 years old and back then all we had was 25th parts lol. I don’t think I ever noticed the tie tucked in until looking at your original just now. And as far as the harness color goes I’d say it’s perfect. I used to try to make my customs as accurate to the original as possible, but I’ve learned over the years that’s sometimes going with a more modern or realistic take (or color in this case) just seems to complete them better. Sometimes.
