It looks as though 2 hours have passed since someone has posted a Snake Eyes custom. I find this unacceptable and am rectifying the problem right now. With this very post!
I liked the Amazon Renegades SE, but I didn't love it. The legs and hips just didn't work for me. Conversely, I liked the Retaliation SE, but the upper body and arms seemed a little off to me. So I took what I thought were the best features of both those figures, and combined them into this custom. Renegaliation (Retalenegade?) Snake Eyes!! The waist-length jacket is meant to look a little more sporty (It's from my MU fodder box). Like he would be riding a wicked fast motorcycle or something. I also added the sword holders from Retaliation Stormy. Then I dry brushed him with different shades of grays to add some texture. My iPhone camera doesn't pick it up that well, but up close jacket looks like real leather. Anyway, thanks for clicking on the thread.

Looks good I think imgonna try this. How did you get the retaliation torso to work with the legs? What are the legs from?

Oh I see. Are they the legs from the single card SE? Once again how did you get the retaliation chest and upper body off to reconnect with the much cooler lower half?

Simply take a small hobby hacksaw and make a precise cut right at or above the belt line of the pelvis/hips you want to use. For the top half, use the saw to make a straight cut at the same point. Then just fuse the upper and lower body halves with some Gorilla Glue. It's by far the best brand of Super Glue on the market. It's as strong as if came out of the factory. Now if your cuts were straight, the seam between the two halves will be invisible. But if you were off a little bit, that's ok. Just go into your fodder box and find a equipment/holster belt to glue in place over the seam (this also serves to strengthen the fusion of the two halves). This is a great way to merge SW and Joe figs, or MU with Joe, or WWE, etc.

If you want to see other examples of me doing this, check out my flickr page in my signature. Almost all of them have been done by cutting bodies in half. I dunno, it's sorta my thing.

MEECS,
I can dig it, my man. Looks really good. I agree totally about the upper/lower splicing... broadens the possibilities, no doubt. And you did a nice job of it, too. I did something similar with my Amazonian SE, which is in my sig pic - |

Hey, that's pretty awesome! I don't remember seeing anyone else on the 'Tank doing it this way. But it does indeed broaden the possibilities. Esp if you like mixing completely different figure lines together, as you obviously do too. You've got quite a hodge-podge of parts on that one! Good stuff.
