So far, most everyone has posted pics of a long-standing zombie. One which is decrepit, with rotting flesh. Mine is more of a "fresh" zombie. I decided to try and make it as "clean" as possible. My idea was to make this custom look as much like a figure that would be released as a GI Joe Zombie as possible. The bite is on the left arm, there's a pic included of the bite.
I used an exacto knife to cut out the bite mark in the left arm and in Polly, and a hot exacto knife to slice the neck. I decided to paint the skin a light jade color, a la Frankenstein. I used a black paintbrush pen to accent the white shirt, then drybrushed the shirt with tan which mixed with the bits of black to create a nice, dirty look to the shirt. I started to paint the blood on in streams from the neck and bite mark, then dry-brushed more down the front and back. I was gonna try to have a piece of bone sticking out of the neck, but was afraid to completely rip the head off. This is my first custom figure, and isn't as involved as many, but I feel it really stands up well next to the others. If time permits, I'll be working on a second zombie, which I'll post here as well. This is the overall look of him, standing on my grill. This is a close-up, the lack of a flash make him look pretty creepy. This is the picture of the bite, right down to the bone. EEWWW! This is a look into the neck, notice the neck bone. GRODY! |

Yeah, I figured if I was gonna tear a Shippy apart, I couldn't NOT at least put a bite in Polly.
