I want to make some web belts and am not sure what to buy to pour in my mold to make them with? Anyone know what I should use so the web belts bend and are like the ones we get with figures from the 25th line?

I was wondering the same thing myself. Is it something you can add to resin? Is it a form of liquid latex? Obviously I'm not concerned with what exactly is used to make the gear on regular figures, but what would I use if I wanted to re-create it at home?

I haven't tried them but I would guess some kind of flexible rubber like these casting rubbers (scroll down).

KnightHawk and I have had a good luck making our own bandoliers out of thin sheet styrene. I'm sure full webgear could also be made from it.
I made this one out of V-groove styrene for the bandolier, and other thicknesses for the other bits, and one Marauder grenade. |

That looks really good, did you have to heat the styrene up and bend it around to get it in the right shape? I am wanting to make like 20 of the same web belt so my guys can all match... |

The material used is Evergreen' no.2025 V-groove, .025" (.64mm) spacing, .020" (.5mm) thick styrene sheet. It looks a lot like some of Hasbro's molded web gear belts. I originally bought it to make N scale roll up doors. For web gear, it might be better to get just a little wider spacing. |
