Comic pack Scarlett: I repainted the yellow parts of her suit with a desert camo color. The molded in belt and knife holder were painted interior green, which is a pretty close match to the single card Scarlett belt I put on her.
I modified the handle on a single card Scarlett crossbow so she grip it a little better in her right hand, and reinforced the right thumb with piano wire. I squeezed the thumb inward when I drilled the hole in it, so that the wire would help keep her thumb against her weapon. I rotated the quiver on her belt, so that she could concievably draw the bolts with her left hand. I removed the holster and gun that was molded onto the belt, and replaced it with a cross draw holster made from thin sheet styrene. The folded over style of holster construction is loosely based on a few real holsters I found pictures of on Google. It not only holds the Hasbro pistol securely, but also fits Marauder's M19911A1 pistol just a little more snugly, if I ever want to switch to that. Her hair was painted orange, then given a wash with indan red oil paint, and lightly dry brushed with yellow. It's not vivid red, as the pictures make it look. I kind of like the light purple on her, but due to some missing factory paint, I had to repaint the purple on her legs. Folk Art acrylic enamel purple lilac turned out to be a closer match to the plastic used on the arms, than the factory paint was. |

Wild Bill's holsters were monsterously oversized, and pointed the wrong direction. The orginal figure had the handles pointed forwards, for some kind of weird wrist twisting draw. (they're way too low for a cross draw) I yanked off the orignal holsters, and made new ones made from thin styrene sheet. It's the same material I used on Scarlett's holster. It's black, and about the thickness of a credit card. Again, I beased the design on holsters I found doing a Google image search. The main difference, is that I left the flaps off of them, for purposes of functionality. The pistols themselves are Marauder's Colt .45 Peacemakers, with the handles painted for the ivory handle look.
I also painted his neck with Model Master acrylic flesh light base, wich is a very close match for his face. |

This is my Viper weapons specialist. He's got one of Marauder's modular NVR rifles, and I drilled holes in the sides of his backpack to store the under mounts on. I'll probably eventually add an undermount shotgun, to his arsenal.

I didn't think that Nemesis Enforcer was back heavy enough, so I made it so that he could attach both his backpacks/symbiotes at the same time. The configuration is based on one of the pages in the comic that came with the two-pack. The adapter still needs to be painted. It's made from some thin acrylic rod, and a couple of sizes of styrene tubing. The acrylic rod simply pegs into a hole I drilled into the bottom of the bat-pack. It can be completely removed, and hole doesn't really stick out, when looking at the pack.

Nice mods. I like most of the Scarlett ones. I always thought righties reloaded crossbows with their right, though?
I dig on the Nemesis mod. I might have to try that. |

He wore his revolvers backwards at his hips and never used holsters, he wore them in a red sash when wearing buckskins or in a belt when wearing "city" clothes. He drew them using a "reverse", or "twist" draw.

Nice tweaks. They may be minor but they make a major impact.

Thanks everyone!
Acrizer, the crossbow that Scarlett comes with is a fairly accurate representation of a common self cocking design. That swoopy bit at the back is a lever that pulls the string to full draw by bending the lever downward. My thought behind repositioning the quiver was that with this set up, she'd have no need to take her right hand off the handle to pull the string, and so would reload with her off hand. When I say "fairly accurate," I mean that most of the details are there, from the design of the cocking lever, to the holes in the frame, and even the little pointy bit at the front. It's not perfect. Not only is Hasbro's too big for scale, they left the front sight off of it. Last edited by Greyryder; 10-07-2008 at 07:15 AM.. |

Bumping this, becuse I have an update on Scarlett. Thanks to L.T. SEAL I got a spare head for her, and was able to make an alternate helmeted head. This was inspired by her apearance in the comic that came in the two-pack.
