i seen a half dome thing of styrofam like the kind for crafts not the kind for packing. anyway it was in the craft section of walmart. i was thinkin of it, you would have to hollow it out though! an then build a entrance out of some, other then that i have know clue!, maby paper mishey(i dont know how to spell it) news paper , an a old metal hanger! that would definitly work!

Make the blocks out of wood, paint it white, cover it with a thin layer of Woodland Scenics Flex Paste (model train stuff), go over your creases with a toothpick so they stand out, cover it w/ model train snow.

paper mache over a balloon, then when it hardens, pop balloon and cut 1/2 on the paper mache ball to make a dome

I remember doing that paper mache over a balloon thing back when I was a kid, it works surprisingly well.
I think we built helmets when we were doing it, if I remember right. it was in a arts and crafts for kids book my parents had And as I recall it's held the shape just fine for a long time after it was done... |
