I like it! However, the boots seem a bit off; they seem too big, but I don't have a solution though...

I suppose I could consider these feet and the boot wrap that comes with the x-23 figure, but that would mean extra decal fixes, which also means...read below Quote:
Tip 2: make your own decals. you'll mess up enough of them that you'd feel pretty horrible doing it with ones you paid for. I made a surplus for that very reason, and it still only took up a quarter of a sheet of clear decal paper. On that front - meaning making the decals in general - let me dig up a link to a tutorial I did awhile back. I LOVE using custom made decals. Superheroes original military unit patches, real life unit patches, mass production of logos, it all becomes so easy. Fishnets are something I've done in the past and might be something unique I've tried, I don't know. This is the first time I did more than a partial strip of fishnet stocking though. And I'm pretty happy with the result. Tip 3: use thin strips. If I had more patience, I would have cut out the contours on the decals before application. As it is, I just kept pressing out the wrinkles as I went, and gently pulled on the material to stretch it into the shape I needed, which ties in to... Tip 4: don't be a perfectionist with them. I didn't go with the torn stockings by intentional design. Some of the tears are gaps in lining up the strips brought on by the uneven surface, and some are tears resulting from the pulling and stretching I referenced above. Also, you're just not going to get coverage with decals on the knees, not completely anyway. I handled this by deciding "hey, torn fishnets are cool too" lol. I once did a custom with the partial stockings, and went to great lenghts to create the torn look. Now I realize it's easy just by not trying. lol If you need them to look like they aren't torn, try using an art pen (tip care of pluv at JCs) to draw over the small imperfections, or of patching in with small decal scraps after the main work has started to set. Tip 5: is actually in the tutorial, but I say follow the instruction sheet that comes with the decal kit completely when it comes to making the decals, but throw it out when it comes to applying them. Those application instructions might work for cars, but not figures. I still do the recommended steps all the way up to the point where I wet the decal and slide it off the paper. But I don't just put that straight onto the figure. It won't have the right permanency. I coat the surface of the figure - here the leg - with watered down Mod Podge, or white glue. It helps me slide the decal right where I want it, but also helps make the decal a more permanent fix once it sets up. Once I smooth out all the wrinkles, I also then coat the area including the top of the decal with the same mix. So now, these legs have the same feel as a well sealed paint job. Anyway, hope that helps. I've had a long day, so I apologize for making that more wordy than it needed to be ;)

As a huge Canary fan in the previous Birds of Prey run this figure is dead-on and the best Canary custom I have seen. I'd be proud to have that in my DC collection!!

Thanks Will - much appreciated. It was also fun to look at my first version and see my improvements along the way. Of course the parts available these days really make this easy and fun.

GREAT call on using the Neo-Viper boots to begin with. Everyone else would've put her in Baroness heels. This custom's AWESOME and a true labor of love. BC's a fave character of mine and this is hands down the best 1:18th scale fig of her I've ever seen... |

take a closer look at those Viper feet if you have them in hand though. I think the big part is just the tread, which I actually kind of like. The spot for the foot itself is itself kind of dainty. And this Black Canary figure overall is larger than a ROC Viper figure anyway. Those punks are short. lol

But thanks man, much appreciated. Oh, and here's a quick update too - fixed some of the more obvious flaws in the fishnets.:
