I found some of the newer wave (Duke, Firefly, etc) in Honesdale, PA, on Saturday.

ever since i saw him in the comic with the skull cap, and, i think in the valor vs venom line, with the skully...i had been WAITING to see more from that idea on dif figures... when ROC hit they gave us the one of the best interchangeable heads EVER...by accident to flesh out the wave with off screen characters. that head works... bc as fans we know his personality and origins, but the original sailor hat was always restrictive in design to pair with dif outfits... this head, bc it's still sailor-ish enuff, and doesn't scream out the fact like he's gotta be on the flagg all the time, or out at sea, or in port...is great for that record setting usage. the skully he wears in this version is still very NAVY...and it's easier to pair with dif looks...creates a nice route to make new appearances while keeping the orig flavor intact...one of the best things hasbro ever did was give us this look for shipwreck..a small victory. |

The reason why it's probably some kinda record is because he's not wearing his sailor hat...i think that's something that shipwreck needed...

Picked up another 30th stalker today thinking about this thread. No matter what head...to a point, that you pop on this body, it's going to look good!

Heh, I did that for a while, too. No pics, though.
That's how I feel about the PoC Beachhead body. |

That's awesome! I've always said that some of the best customs are those that can be done simply. I love it. I have new respect for Shipwreck now.
