Well, it took about about a month to do, but using the plans from Vexar Designs, I built my own HQ TOC/lobby scene.
Check it out: For more info on this project, (or to follow the creation process) check out my little blog. Or drop your comments here. I learned a lot working on this little scene. It was the first time I've worked with styrene, and the first time I've ever used an Xacto knife, actually, and I'm pleased with how it turned out. But tell me what you think. David

dang it- I wish I could change the title to Build-A-HEADQUARTERS, because you are right- it does look like build a ho. ;-) Oh well. too late for that.

Mikey- in my joeniverse, the headquarters is deep underground in a fortified bunker. Wild Weasel, eat your heart out. ;-)
Unclassified- the material used to make it is called styrene. Hobby stores carry it, or you can buy it from the manufacturer, evergreen scale models. Vexar Designs's plans website has the full manifest of what shapes and sizes you will need to buy the styrene in. If you do decide to make one of these (and I recommend it- its a lot of fun) and you go to your hobby store, make sure you have the list of product #'s for the styrene that Vexar has on his site. When you find the styrene display, you will notice that there are dozens and dozens and dozens of different types of styrene, and having the product number will make finding the right shapes a breeze. That's really cool. I enjoy seeing somebody build something I designed. Great job!

Nice, but Duke is the receptionist? He's a SGT for crying out loud!

Lance- it's intentional. Duke 43 got busted down to security receptionist duty by Hawk for being a little pegwarmer B*tch that I would always see at the store when I went to look for the new figs.
If this had been a cobra dio, arctic destro would be pulling the same position. D
