Hey all, new guy here. Anyway, I think like everyone, I was a bit disappointed that the Steeler figure did'nt have his trademark visor. A quick fix, I've found comes from another hasbro product. If you've got a Star Wars clone trooper commander (with the skirt-dealie and flip down visor) its simple to pop his visor off and paint it black and glue it to the helmet. Its also not too big like some customs seem to be. I'll try and post a pic, if one of you would let me know the best way to do it. Will photobucket work? I don't wanna waste space with five posts TRYING to get a pic up. Anyway, glad to be on the threads. Keep it real, guys.

I really like that alot. It was a great idea and excellent work. Another member on here was selling a custom cast visor that they made using the original ARAH visor and one of those clear visors that come with 25th Flash and Grad Slam.
In my case I just popped on one of the original visors that came with the accessory pack. I gave him the uzi as well. I didn't bother painting them black, but I did paint his boots black using a black Sharpie water-based paint marker. Here are some pics I hope you like it as well. I hope you don't think I'm jumping all over your post here because it's not my intention. I will glady take down my pics if you disaproove.

Naw, man, not at all. Put your stuff up! That's what this is all about! I've been reading posts here for a while, but just joined up today. I've seen those customs and I'm pretty sure I've seen yours, too. (or at least I've heard of using that visor for this custom.) Its just a little bulky for my tastes. Not knocking it at all, it looks great, but I just wanted to "update" it a bit and streamline it to fit with the updated sculpting. Thing is, as long as everyone's happy with their own stuff, we all win, really.

Hey, I feel like a complete moron here, but I'm not the most computer-savvy guy. How can I set my pic into an avatar, like pretty much everyone else has?

No problem at all man. I don't really like the bulkiness either, but it was the easiest and cheapest way out for now.
Sometimes I get ideas from other people's customs and then I make some changes to come up with a new idea of my own. I recently did this with a custom backpack for the new Tele-Viper. Another member posted his custom and a tutorial that invoulved some glueing and painting but I wanted to try to do it without any of that "extra" stuff. Here is a link to that thread, check it out if you like... http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...g-i-eddie.html By the way welcome to the board. It's always great to have new members join our little clan. Have great time here. Oh to edit your avatar click on "User CP" above and then check on the left side of the screen for "Edit Avatar". You can also edit your profile picture and signature there.

That's a cool idea! I think I'd try to attach the pegs as well so the visor is still movable, but that's still really cool

Welcome to the boards! I dig the SW visor mod. It looks surprisingly good. I still prefer the vintage range findoe even though it is crazy big. I just think Steeler when I see it.
