I had been itching to try out a Bruder truck, particularly the flatbed. I was disappointed with the fact that most of the Bruder trucks do not have opening doors. The Man truck that comes with this flatbed (Backhoe not shown) is better than most of the other trucks since the inner mold (the black plastic that contains the seats) has detached inner doors. That is, the inner part of the doors do not go all the way from front to back at figure's arm height.
I also painted some details, like the console. To attach the doors, i bought a $1 small wooden chest from Michael's (arts & crafts store), removed the hinges, and installed them on the doors. The cab has no screws, all tabs. |

Hell yes, man! Paint that thing red n' blue! How much does it cost?
I'd totally use that as Masterpiece Prime's alt-mode in a dio. |

Thanks for posting! I've been looking at these and was wondering about the figures fitting inside. Do you have any more of these Bruder vehicles that you could post more joe comparison pics?

That looks like it has some serious potential.

I've got 1 of the forklifts and it works perfect for loading/unloading the supplies from M.A.R.S. for the Cobra troops.

I just looked at eBay; prices are steepish (the truck pictured atop this thread is going for $100), but man, there are some cool vehicles! How have I never heard of these before? I can see why you got one of the forklifts, CobraCrimson; they look cool.
And the orange garbage truck would be awesome to use for Animated Wreck-Gar. |

$60 at TJ Maxx. The Backhoe fits modern joes w/o any modifications. I also thought of the Prime potential, but it'd take a lot of cutting.
