I could not be any more happier with the way this custom came out. It's finished, but not finished as I need Falcon's 'neckerchief', but here he is otherwise.
The purpose of this custom was to eliminate fodder, create a fig I didnt have, and start honing my painting skills. RECIPE: Head: RoC PIT Hawk Torso: 25th Viper Neck Joint: Modded to fit head Upper Arms: 25th Viper Lower Arms: RoC Zartan Hands: Dunno Legs: Resolute/Resolute style - unknown fig. (they were black) Web Gear: DVD Roadblock Have a look . . . ~ Hobby.

You have come a long way...but you are not a Jedi yet.
I dig the idea, but I see you need to think of what he's wearing, neckerchief aside.first and foremost... and don't take this as a rip, I'm trying to help you here. The arms.from the forearm up, unles your trying for a John Cena forearm bandna look..nogo, match the paint of the the elbow jointish area on up to the sleeve cuff. Otherwise, he looks like he belogs on a wrestling ring, not a field of combat. Even the original Gung Ho...how many people do you see displaying that version? nad it's not just of the Vilage People get up...that figure's arms suck. as does half the dreadnoks. if you don;t want elbow pads hit Stone or POC :Aliens" Duke and try to match the paint. Honestly, I had the same problem with my own Leatherneck custom. I needed to paint the lower arm up to the cuff of the sleeve. second, and most crucial: The face. For starters, using a ROC General Hawk face may not be the best for Falcon, It WILL work for Flint, in which case you can turn around and use a Flint head for Falcon... But really, ROC Hawk's headsculpt is better suited as a mid grade character. (Personally I've used repaints for both Big Ben, and Skyduster..."Cameo charaters") on top of that...less facial camo. No offense... But he looks like he crawled from a sewer... If that was the intent, you did a bang up job! the use of body parts was EXCELLENT!!!! Webgear, not so much...if you didn't have the original's, then go with typical green shirt web gear Now the best part...and my FFFFFFFAAAAAVORITE... Your camo is AWSOME!!!!! Seriously, unbelievable with the intricate leaf patterns and how they blend. If I had money and Fodder I'd send them to you and have you go to town, cause that is awsome. Iapologise if I came offharsh, but you have a TON of potential, and your 80% there! Keep up the work!

Thank you so much for the thought out response!
Like I said in the open, I dont have the character, and I got alot of fodder that I wanted put to GOOD use, and I this was the idea. It started with the head, my 'base' for this fig. I dont think Hasbro has put out a worse head since the ME figs have come out. The eyes weren't outlined - and the dots for the eyes were off balance from each other. It was horrendous. As far as I have come in customizing, I simply can not paint faces at all. So I said to myself, try to fix the eyes, and if I botch it too bad - camo the face up - from the sewer style (I do have a Tunnel Rat to make in the future so face paint was a practice for it). Plus the face now has a look that fits someone named Vinnie Falcone. As bad as the PIT HAWK FACE was, it was better than the 25th Vipers that came out - I bought three, and the first one I opened had glued knee joints. The second - loose arms. 3rd can rot MOC for all I care now, lol - love the vests though. So that became the torso of choice, it was fodder with nothing else original of good use - and I kept the rolled up sleeve of the upper arms. Point two of the arms on this Falcon - I tried to use the Zartan arms on a better project, but ended up gluing the upper arm disc in the torso I was using, when I spun the arms and ripped of the disc - so I had the lower arms to use - and I used them here. Why those passed my Eye Ball test - even though they look like WWE - is I have so much camo on the fig, to have all skin on the arm looked 'off' to me - more than the Elbow Dive from the top turnbuckle look does. Im about out of web gear in my fodder box, back packs too - so the DVD Roadblock wasnt going on anything else I could foresee, and why it went from my fooder to a fig. And thank you so much for the compliment on my camo painting. I dont want to say its simple now for me, but I do have a technique and its really easy for me to stick to. I hope to use it alot more of it on my future customs. It really does broaden your opportunities to make figs, and Im glad Im not embarrassing myself with it.
