I finally got my Skystriker this week but was disappointed in a few things... most notably the landing gear/wing attachment (wings are always swept out when the landing gear's down).
1st Mod, shown in Customs Discussion, was to chop the gears off the wings so that they can move independent of the landing gear. I also made it so that they can rotate a full 90-degrees. 2nd Mod: I loved what Skipper did with his Skystriker by adding bicycle lights to the engines, but no way was I going to spend $10 (each?) for it. Instead I used two $1 LED lights as shown: I also panel-lined the whole thing, applied all the stickers I wanted (whew!) and painted the engine detail and cockpit. More photos to come... |

More pics:
Engine detail: I used black, then drybrushed silver, and added some color for wires and lights. Cockpit: Painted the armrest controls and front panels black then drybrush silver in some spots (left the computer screens black) then added details in color. |
