Non G.I. Joe My Little Skystriker

Gentlemen, this is Ace; My Little Skystriker

You might think I'm crazy or blasphemous for this so before you get all nutty, let me tell you a little story. My wife has customized My Little Ponies for a while now and I have done a couple as well because, quite honestly, it's all the fodder we had around the house and I needed a damn creative outlet. I was looking at doing a custom pony with wings but shit like bird and bat wings were played out and I was looking for some other unique idea.

As some of you may know, I sell vintage Joe parts. I bought a lot that had a junky Skystriker that was completely yellowed and not worth saving other than a few parts. It pained me to just chuck the body in the trash when it hit me. Those were the wings I was looking for.

Some dremeling and epoxying later, I had what I thought was a pretty cool marriage of both of the things my wife and I like to collect and customize. The decals I was waiting on from Reuben got here today and I knocked this out. Kind of just in time with the release of the 30th Skystriker too.

All decals, body work and painting was done by me while my wife did all of the hair. Also, I used what's called a "styling size" pony for this and not just a regular one so it isn't small either. It's 9.5" tall and 8" long

By the way did your wife do the Cobra Commander pony that was posted here a few years ago?

I think I've seen some Transformers themed ones over at TFW2005 as well.

No she didn't do that CC. That's someone else. This is the first real crossover either of us has done.

I actually used a rattler intake and shroud for the afterburner cause it looked cooler hehe.

Heh Thanks. While it's not really meant to be a joke, it wasn't meant to be serious either lol.

Like I said, it's kind of just taking what I like and my wife liked and making it look fairly true to both forms.
