I really like how the Club's Special Missions: Brazil II figure came out, but I prefer to have ARAH accuracy in my display whenever possible. So I thought I'd take a shot at the rare custom.
I used the convention figure's head, but I wanted to preserve the rest of the figure in case I didn't like how the custom turned out, or if I want to sell the figure down the road. Like just about everybody around here, I wasn't crazy about the choice of Buzzer torso for D-T, although it has grown on me. Still, in an homage to the original Dial-Tones, I decided that I would use the same recipe that the Club used on the subscription figure, since all the ARAH Dial-Tones were repaints. Head: SMBII Dial-Tone Arms: Duke, RoC 5-pack Torso: Leatherneck (Awe Striker driver) Legs: Airborne Webgear: Buzzer Gear: SMBII Dial-Tone I decided to darken the red of his pants because while this is an homage, I just don't think the original app would have translated all that well. Also, I had planned on painting the kneepads green, but decided against it because I try to paint as little as possible, and I liked how the brown brought out the torso. I think the green would have been too much. The pack should be white, but the second I got my SMBII Dial-Tone, I swapped his gear with the sub figure. I actually think the darker gear goes great with the convention figure and wish the Club would have just done it that way to begin with. It looks good here, too, but if I come across another white set, I'll definitely be swapping it. |

That looks amazing, it looks like the parts are molded and not painted the colors they are.

Thanks guys!
On a related note, I swapped out the upper right leg on the sub D-T with an HoH BAT thigh and have been MUCH happier with the figure. His leg is a little loose now, but I only pose on display stands, so it's not a big deal for me, and I finally feel like he can hang out in the front row. |

Nice Work!!! I am making a few different versions of Dialtones myself and this is one of them.I plan on doing one for each of the subteams using cast heads I made from my MBII Dialtone..I can make you a cast of the MBII DT head if you want so you can have a permenant replacement for your custom. Let me know,

Thanks sparks007! I really wanted to do a Sonic Fighters version, but I didn't want to have to track down ANOTHER Brazil II figure. Are they cast in flesh tone? And how much? PM me.

Looks nice but the skull and crossbones still look out of place like they do on any other figure but Buzzer.
