Thanks for helping me get in touch with my feminine side! This is an awesome custom! I would never have thought to do this, mainly because I don't have an MLP's. Very creative!

We use acrylic paints. Anything you can get from a craft store really. Model Master paints are nice. I use Createx airbrush paints which is what that one was. I mixed opaque white with some opaque black until I got the desired color. You can use a variety of things like paint markers and even india ink pens. We don't have problems with the paint sticking but lighter coats of thin paints work best. If you do a full body paint job then prime it first, way easier. The India ink pens are ok but take forever to dry if it's unprimed...as in days. There's some really talented people who make those ponies. Attached are some pics of just a few custom ponies we have done, the last one is one I did with india ink pens. Still needs to be sealed then it's off to my wife for hair lol. The subway one and the last one are mine. The mrs did the other 2 and a ton more I don't have pics of lol. Tell your GF to check out the MLP Arena forums for loads of people into them. Thanks for the positive response so far too people =) Last edited by GIJoeJunkyard; 01-23-2012 at 12:05 AM.. |

I love it...but she needs more "NO Step" stickers...especially all round the base of her feet.
