does anyone know where i can purchase Replicas of G.I. joe 25th annv. Blisters or does anyone have a technic to remove the blister without damaging the cardback...thanks Zambo

i actually have 1 blister now with a hiss driver insert for the 25th line. i opened a hiss driver today and the bubble pretty much just fell off it was weird

I get the bubble wrap off my Joes using a heat gun which melts the glue and deforms the bubble. But if your patient enough the cardback maintains its art work. Works even better with the new cardbacks that have white instead of silver. I usually get 90-95% perfect results.

where do you buy a heat gun. Also is there others methods that can save the blister form melting with this heat gun.. thanks for your replys Zambo |

For my custom cards, I just use lacquer thinner and a q tip to remove the paper and glue. It takes quite a bit of time, about 20 minutes per bubble...but it works. Just apply lacquer thinner with the qtip....rubbing back and forth, then wipe off excess. It does not come off all at one, you have to repeat this process until its all gone.
Be careful not to let the lacquer thinner sit on the plastic too long, its a solvent and will cloud and melt the plastic. That is why you apply, then wipe off....repeating till its clean. |

I purchased a viper and it did the same thing. I have a perfect bubble and card to boot. Now if I could figure out how to make custom cards i would be in business.
