so i've read posts asking if the classic visor fits 25th "Steeler"...fear not fellow tankers, it does, sort of...if you take the classic visor, push in the tabs and put them on Flash hemet for example, it fits!...and it stays that way, the tabs don't bend back on their own...
heres my old custom Steeler with 25th Steelers* head and harness... *25th "Steeler" on loan from Mr.Focus...(jerk!...he has the sweet tele viper too that is so kick a$$!) |

It boggles my mind that Hasbro would use that torso. they've been so spot on up to now on reusing parts, so why they would mix parts and not go with a collared torso is beyond me.
which, by the way, means I like the custom. Last edited by gunslingercbr; 06-20-2008 at 01:25 AM.. |

and don't even get me started on how absolutely retarded i think it is that Hasbro has saw fit to make the rest of the exsisting O13 very faithful, yet with "Steeler" they were like "F CK IT!"...it could'a been so dang easy to use a mirid of available torsos to make him right, let alone using the right colors or even arms/hands... hope they don't also drop the ball on Zap and Short-Fuze |

Darn! I kept the wrong helmet...haha. I test fitted it on my Grunt's helmet and it works really well. Unfortunately, I think Flash's green helmet matches the color better, but I just sold the helmet...haha...darn! Oh well, I'll see how well the color fits when my Steeler arrives.

As for the head, it's from the mail order unmasked Storm Shadow. The head was dremelled out for me by GunslingerCBR. I did the same thing myself for a Roadblock; it's amazing how much nicer he looks with his Spy Troops head and also those heads are softer so it's easier to drill out (I don't have a dremel so all my customs including my Mjr Bludd were all hand cut and drilled by holding onto a drill bit and turning by hand.)

Great looking stuff & i've been kicking around using that Stormshadow head to make a 25th unmasked version too. Anyway, the Hasbro unaltered Steeler just looks bad. The head scuplts cool but those big brown boots & those darn Duke arms. Just not good. Anybody else notice that the new Viper's torso w/o the vest on would make a really nice Steeler torso? Use the arms & legs from the Stalker/Hawk/Snake Eyes figure & that wouldn't be bad if painted correctly. It's like Hasbro has the parts already created to make really nice figures but they make bad choices (ex. Major Bludd, Steeler, & the new Clutch's arms).

Looks great. I've got an Ace torso and SE arms and legs just waiting for that Steeler head. I also have a visor on the way. Thanks for posting the pics!
