Sorry, I was basing the eyebrows off of mine!
Anyway, first of all Spirit's head isn't very symmetric. The right side (while facing you) sticks out more than the left. I carved from the chin to where his ears should be. I just did a little at a time. Then I hit it with the sanding stick. I also had to sand the cheekbone on the left side down a little to make it match. Then I used fine sandpaper to make it smoother. You need to sand the eyebrows down too because it isn't just the paint giving him that caveman look. Make sure you cut and sand real slowly. You can always take off more, but putting some back is a lot harder. No, I didn't have to repaint it at all. |
