I recently made a 25th anniversary quick-kick (pictures soon). It turned out really well, but I didn't have anything to use for throwing stars to put on his sash...anyone have any ideas or know of a figure that came with throwing stars that i could use for this?

What did you use to make the sash? I ask because depending on how you made it, I may have suggestions.
Where in N.C. are you? |

I used the sash/scarf accesory that was inlcuded with the Star Wars Elis Helrot action figure that came out last year...I found some small 5-sided metallic press-on stars that i bought and thought those would work, but they stuck out like a sore thumb...
I was hoping that some late 90's early 00's joe ninja's would have come with throwing star that I could use... Here's the link to the scarf/sash that I used: http://www.rebelscum.com/photo.asp?i...AC23elisLS.jpg |

Thanks for the info!!! Murphy is in the western part of the state...we're about 10 miles from GA and about 20 miles from TN...
anyway, I've used sculpey before and Im trying to get away from it...it always looks o.k. but ends up being too breakable...I've heard about green stuff, but have no idea how much it costs or where to get it...but I have heard that you don't have to put it in the oven to get it to set... |

Yeah, no heat needed for curing. It's a two part putty one side blue, the other yellow that when mixed together looks green and cures itself.

Have you tried this guy? Or this shuriken tutorial?
If you don't want to make them you can copy the style of shuriken you'd like off of another figure using a push stamp made out of green stuff (as seen in this tutorial). I've copied the throwing stars off of Scarlett using this method and stuck them on a different figure. Let me know if you need help. Green Stuff Info (where to buy, how to use, etc.) |
